About

trnd.gg is a trading interface built on the Polymarket Builders Program. All trades are executed directly on Polymarket.

How It Works

Positions, order history, and funds are stored on-chain and fully accessible through Polymarket. This platform provides an alternative interface for interacting with the same underlying markets and infrastructure.

All trades done through your Polymarket Safe wallet are gasless. There is no need to hold MATIC or any native token for transaction fees.

Wallet Architecture

The wallet system consists of two components: a Magic EOA (Externally Owned Account) and a Safe Smart Wallet.

Magic EOA

The EOA is created via Magic upon registration and is linked to your email address. This is a standard Ethereum wallet with a private key that can be exported at any time.

Safe Smart Wallet

The Safe Wallet is created through Polymarket and holds all funds and positions. The EOA serves as the owner of the Safe, meaning only the EOA holder can authorize transactions.

Architecture Overview

  • EOA: Controls wallet access and signs transactions
  • Safe: Holds funds and positions, registered with Polymarket for trading
  • Private Key: Exportable master key for the EOA

Important: Never share your private key. Anyone with access to it has full control over both the EOA and the Safe wallet.

What You See in the App

The address displayed in your profile is the Safe wallet address—use this for deposits. The EOA address is not shown directly. To find it, export your private key and import it into MetaMask or another wallet.

Fund Recovery

Funds can be accessed independently of this platform by exporting the private key and using any Ethereum-compatible wallet.

Exporting the Private Key

  • Navigate to your profile menu
  • Select 'Reveal Private Key'
  • Complete email authentication via Magic
  • Store the private key securely

Importing to External Wallet

  • Open MetaMask or any compatible wallet
  • Select 'Import Account'
  • Enter the private key

Accessing the Safe Wallet

After importing the EOA, the Safe wallet can be accessed through the Safe app (app.safe.global). Connect using the imported EOA to view and manage all funds and positions.

Split & Merge

Split and Merge are mechanisms for converting between USDC and outcome shares.

Split

Converts USDC into equal quantities of YES and NO shares. Splitting $10 produces $10 worth of YES shares and $10 worth of NO shares.

Merge

Combines equal quantities of YES and NO shares back into USDC. Merging 10 YES and 10 NO shares returns $10 USDC.

Why Use Split & Merge

Split and Merge allow you to move between USDC and shares without using the order book. This can be useful when you want to acquire both outcomes at once, or when you want to exit a position by combining shares rather than selling them.

Trading

Two order types are available for trading prediction market shares.

Market Orders

Execute immediately at the best available price in the order book.

Limit Orders

Execute only at a specified price or better. The order remains open until filled or cancelled.

Order Book

Displays all open limit orders. Bids represent buy orders, asks represent sell orders. The spread indicates the difference between the highest bid and lowest ask.

USDC Types

USDC exists across multiple blockchains with different token contracts. Understanding these distinctions is important for deposits.

USDC.e (Bridged USDC)

USDC.e is USDC bridged from Ethereum to Polygon. The original tokens are locked on Ethereum while wrapped versions exist on Polygon. This is the token used for trading on Polymarket.

Other Variants

  • Native USDC (Polygon) - Issued directly by Circle, different contract address
  • USDC (Ethereum) - Original issuance on Ethereum mainnet
  • USDC on L2s - Native versions on Arbitrum, Base, Optimism
  • USDbC, USDC.b - Bridged variants on other networks

All variants maintain a $1 value but are not directly interchangeable. Conversion requires bridging or swapping.

Deposits & Withdrawals

Multiple methods are available for funding and withdrawing from the trading wallet.

Direct USDC.e Deposit

For users with existing USDC.e on Polygon: click 'Deposit', copy the wallet address, and send USDC.e directly.

Automatic Conversion

For other assets: click 'Deposit', select the token to send, and receive a deposit address for that specific token. Funds sent to this address are automatically converted to USDC.e.

Credit Card (Coming Soon)

Direct fiat purchases will be available in a future update.

Withdrawals

  • Navigate to the Portfolio page
  • Click 'Withdraw'
  • Enter the destination address and amount
  • Confirm the transaction

Withdrawals are processed as USDC.e on Polygon.
